MyOFascial Release In Orlando

Myofascial Release

Myofascia is biological wrapper of sorts that surrounds muscle, bone, nerves, arteries, and pretty much every structure under the skin. Fascia has two purposes in the body. The first is to hold tissues together and the second is to allow body parts like muscles and bones to move past one another with minimal friction. When we subject our bodies to different stresses and injuries, fascial layers may become adhered to one another. These adhesions may lead to discomfort, pain, and decreases in range of motion. When these adhesions in the myofascial layers are removed, these symptoms may be relieved. Dr. Bartoe studied myofascial release under the guidance of Dr. Marc Ellis for 3 years at the Georgia Chiropractic Neurology Center in Roswell, GA, eventually assisting Dr. Ellis in training others in treating fascial disorders. Myofascial release can be used to help a wide variety of patients from the low back pain sufferer to stroke survivors and even athletes with sports injuries.
